"Allergies"

"Allergies" refers to drug reactions in general.  It is important to know not only the drug that caused the problem but the nature of the reaction itself.

You can ask, "Have you every had a bad reaction to a drug, tablet or anti-biotic?  Any problems with latex, dressings or skin washes?"
